What happens during a power cut?

During a power cut your inverter is set to shutdown. If it were to export any electricity to the grid it could electrocute the service team trying to fix the fault. Most modern inverters have Emergency Power Supply (EPS) terminals which can be used to provide power from the solar panels or batteries.
