How are solar panels made?

Solar panels are made by putting together many solar cells. These cells are made from a material called silicon. The silicon is cut into thin pieces, called wafers, and placed in a frame. Wires connect the cells, and a glass cover protects them. Finally, the panel is tested for electricity production.
