Are EV chargers waterproof?

Yes most EV chargers are rated as IP65 which is right level for their normal use. IP stands for Ingress Protection. The first number is the protection level for objects, the second number is the level of protection against water. The 6 means the product has the highest level of dust protection, The 5 means it is able to withstand low-pressure water jets from all directions. To be classed as fully waterproof tit would need to be IP68 and withstand being submerged to a depth of 1.5metres for 30 minutes.
