Are EV chargers Universal?
Most UK EV chargers are compatable with most chargers.. The first chargers had Type 1 plugs and sockets (SAE J1772 or Yazaki), and could only charge at 3.68kW. Type 2 chargers are now common place and can charge from 7kW (single phase) to 22kW (3 phase). Super fast chargers use a CCS2 plug and socket and can charge from 50kW to 350kW dc.
